With the PC 527F video card application, using DR or back plotting will be different than the legacy control. The program will first be plotted into a file on the 527F control card. Then with the PC the file will be accessed and can be viewed or plotted with any g-code back plotting software.
Setup:
In the SETP, page 1, select the VIDEO STYLE and set to PC.
Map the 527F FTP site to Windows File Explorer, here is a post how to do this
Process:
Load a program to view
Use the DR command to plot the program into a file on the SD card of the control. Typically the program will be plotted to a file name with the DR prefix, the o-word number of the program.
Open a g-code plotting application or web based plotter on the 527F PC.
Browse and open the 527F FTP folder where the program was plotted to and select the DR#.TXT file that was created.
If the 527F PC has access to the internet, a good webbased g-code plotter is available at ncviewer.com. Here is an example of the plot file the control will generate. From this viewer, searching to certain a certain part of the program is possible, like each M6 tool change, etc.
